I am FINALLY here! I left the house Friday morning at 6:30 am. I got to my hotel room Sat night at 11:30. But it’s morning at home. I slept for a total of about 3 hours. They were not consecutive though! On the long flight to Tokyo I had an empty seat beside me so that was great. We sat on the runway in Detroit for an hour and a half so I almost missed my connecting flight to Tokyo. I had to run! Brenda and Lynn (another family from AHH) were on that flight. I sat across from a family from Alabama who are adopting as well. The mom’s parents live just a few miles from us! Another Red Thread!
I don’t have many pictures. I was just so focused on getting here. But as any good adoption blogger would do, I took pictures of the hotel room the instant I got in (before I messed it all up). The room is amazing.

The bed feels soft…but at this point I’m not sure if I can trust my judgment because I’m so tired.

There is a big glass window that separates the bathroom from the bedroom. So much for privacy!!
Ben, I wish you were here…you would love the hotel!

So happy you arrived safely!! The room is nice and I didn't really mind the beds in China...of course like you I was too focused on Annslee and too tired most of the time to notice LOL
Glad you made it. I was wide awake around 3am and started praying for you. I figured you'd need some prayers by then! I'll check on Blake and the boys. The room looks great. Rest while you can. Love, Michele
So glad you had a safe trip. I have been thinking about you! Rest up...you have a big day ahead of you! :)
Excited that things are going so well. Go to bed and rest! My prayers are with you.
Love, Lynn Eargle
Hi Lynn! I'm thrilled to know your are closer and closer to having Olivia in your arms. Beautiful room...enjoy each precious moment of this adventure with the Lord going before you and surrounding you.
much love, Linda Smith
So glad to hear that you had a good trip(besides the one delay). Your room looks great...love the glass wall separating the bathroom. : )
For both of my trips to China, when I first arrived...I just couldn't believe I was actually there. The wait seems so long and once you have finally arrived, it is such an awesome feeling! It won't be long now until Olivia is in your arms!!

I am glad that you made it safe. I am heading out of town tomorrow, but I can't wait to see Olivia!!! You are going to be so blessed!

I am soooooooooo excited for you! I was thinking about you during worship - we were singing "In Christ alone my hope is found . . . What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand . . . . No power of hell, no scheme of man can ever pluck me from His hand ‘Til He returns or calls me home Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand."
I'm posting the whole song on my blog but I was crying thinking about you meeting Olivia today - Thanks for sharing your journey and your life. I cannot wait to see a photo of you with Olivia! Cheers! Ellie
sorry this is so long :)
